What is it?
The Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) is a technology grant of up to $15 000 from the government of Canada aimed at providing business owners with an opportunity to transform their businesses to increase productivity, improve their customer relations and reduce their overhead.
With this grant, you can use up to $15,000 to get advice on the technologies that can be used to propel your business forward through an approved advisor.
Once your digital adoption plan is complete, you can apply for the following:
- Wage subsidy of up to $7,300 to hire talent through a work placement.
- Interest-free business loan between $25,000 and $50,000 with a 5-year term.

How do I qualify?
To apply, you must be a Canadian-owned incorporated for-profit business with 1 to 499 employees and have at least $500,000 in annual revenue in 1 of the last three years of operations.
How do I receive funds?
Once your digital assessment has been completed, your advisor will guide you through submitting an invoice. Funds can be expected to be received within two weeks.
Can I receive funds if I have participated in a similar digital adoption program before?
Unfortunately, if you have participated in a similar program in the last 12 months, you are not eligible for the $15 000 Digital Adoption grant; however, you may qualify to be fast-tracked to apply for an interest-free loan.
Can I pick what company I work with for my digital assessment?
The Government of Canada has a list of digital advisors approved for the Digital Adoption Program.
How much time do I personally need to invest in this program?
Creating your digital adoption plan with your approved digital advisor may take up to an hour, including application through The Government of Canada site.
Can I take advantage of this for other practices I own?
Absolutely! You may apply for each practice you own that meets the eligibility criteria as long as each practice is a separate legal entity.
